I often wonder what some people would have thought of this new era we now live in. In what seemed like an instant, the world as we knew it for centuries—millennia even—was history. With a global click of the minds, people understood, and that understanding made the past obsolete in a mere moment. That was something to witness and live through. To see it coming, to be a part of that change.

Building the new system took decades, but the global adoption happened in such a visible way that it felt like we went from preparing for the transition to being done. It finally all made sense. Everything shifted and at last the crazy times of corrupt power were behind us. It was magical, and nothing short of a miracle. The whole biodiversity process started balancing itself again. The shift gave Life its true identity back. Today, we are on track toward a global system, decisively acknowledging Life's biggest demand: respect.

Sometimes, I imagine how the people I love, who passed away before the shift, would have reacted to this new world. Would Papi really have pushed for the global shift as I want to believe? Or would he have gotten scared, like Mother did?
